SOCIAL MEDIA TRANSPARENCY ACT

Per the 2018 scandal of Cambridge Analytica, it is the Will of the People that electronic Applications which are commonly defined as “Social Media”, or any other Application where interactive data is utilized for Social-Networking, Social-Engineering, Commerce, to include their Elections, be properly disclosed to them before the Law.

This Bill will ensure that companies and conglomerates of the aforementioned Applications provide by public disclosure, in plain-language, the specific nature of Algorithms, Data Points and other Digital Assets such as Audio/Video works, or other Automations, to include Artificial Intelligence. Any updates or changes to their Applications must also be publicly disclosed.

Penalties may include suspension or termination of Executives with fines imposed on the case-by-case merits. Mandatory minimum impositions will be further determined by Congress.
